Who we are
Homeland Ghana Educational Foundation represents a commitment to education, learning, and social development in the Upper East region of Ghana.
That one day, all children in the Upper East region of the nation of Ghana will have the opportunity to attend school and to attain an excellent education for a brighter future.
Increase access and encourage enrolment to primary, secondary & higher education through community mobilisation and social interventions.
Make learning enjoyable.
Encourage and enable each student to become an independent thinker and self-learner.
To have education be seen as the most rewarding and most transforming method of development in the Upper East region.
Rhoda Agilinko has set up an educational foundation with the youth of the Upper East region of Ghana at heart. Born and raised in Ghana up until the age of eight (8) when her family permanently moved to the United Kingdom, she understands that it could have been her in need of someone else’s help in the same way that she is trying to give it to others.
“I have grown up to appreciate how education can help to end the cycle of poverty within a family, especially in the Ghanaian socio-cultural context in which I was raised. As I have been freed from poverty, my real job is to free someone else. Since I have the platform, I seek to empower as many young people as possible.” - Rhoda Agilinko
